Participants of the Conciliative Council recommend that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine sets up a Temporary Ad Hoc Panel to scrutinize the Bill on Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine.
The above-mentioned resolution was adopted at the sitting of the Conciliative Council with the participation of the leaders of parliamentary Factions held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The resolution concerning number of members and composition of the Panel is to be adopted at one of the next plenary meetings.
Moreover, leaders of the Factions discussed the issue concerning appeal of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Congress of the United States of America regarding completion of utilization of solid propellant and realization of all actions aimed at liquidation of nuclear weapon in Ukraine in compliance with the Agreement between Ukraine and the United States of 25 October 2003.
Pursuant to the Standing Orders, the Conciliative Council resolved to hold an extra plenary meeting of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Monday, 6 April, with the participation of Hans-Gert Pöttering, President of the European Parliament.
